A fight between two women over one man ended when both of them jumped into a river and one died.
The man of Chongqing, China, was forced to make a decision that nobody wants to make after two of his lovers jumped into the Yangtze River, following a dispute.
The man and two women came to the river near a boat dock in the afternoon. One woman was his current girlfriend while the other woman was his former girlfriend.
The three worked in the financial sector in the city.
Authorities believed that the three women were involved in a messy love triangle, and had come to this quiet area to discuss their problem.Around 4:00 p.m., after a heated argument, the former girlfriend suddenly decided to jump into the river. The man, clearly worried about his former girlfriend, jumped after her.
This demonstration of love and caring towards the woman clearly angered his current girlfriend, who then jumped in the water as well.
Witnesses said that the man and his former girlfriend made it back to shore after a few minutes, but his current girlfriend was not as lucky. A fishing boat found her body several minutes later.
A witness said that as she approached the trembling man in an effort to help the couple, she heard the man telling his former girlfriend: “This is all your fault, it is all because of you.”
Police have not released the names of the three people involved as they are conducting an investigation. (WWWN)
