THE RISE OF OYENUSI

A man from Osun state; Ishola Oyenusi popularly known during his time as doctor Oyenusi was a violent man and he also involved in a kind of robbery I would call “Large Scale Robbery”. He terrorized both male and female, young and old. Even the police force flee at the mention of his name because he shows no mercy to who ever crosses his path.

It all started in 1959 when he made armed robbery his number one profession. He hijacked a car and killed its owner around herbert macaulay road in Yaba Lagos in that year. He actually sold the car for 400naira just because his girlfriend was stranded.

He became famous with his act just immediately after the civil war ended around 1967. Just like Clark Kent being tagged as the superman, Oyenusi called himself “doctor Oyenusi” even though he didn’t finish modern school. Some people even addressed him as doctor rob and kill. Unlike the Movie released by Sharafadeen Olabode titled OYENUSI, Oyenusi was not a doctor as Odunlade Adekola played it in the movie. Oyenusi terrorised the whole of Lagos and he is called the Father of all armed robbers till date because his act was legendury.

He got arrested by a police officer who was talking to him anyhow, Oyenusi blasted him, he was like “people like you don’t talk to me when I am armed, I gun them down”.

Oyenusi was so confident in himself that his major motto was “bullet has no power over me”.
